Accessibility statement
We want this site to work for everyone, and we want to hear about it when it doesn’t.
On the current site this page returns a 404 while a RentCafe-branded page sits at a different URL. That is a live problem, not a hypothetical one — this page needs to exist, under our own name, from day one.
Our commitment
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website. That covers keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, colour contrast, text resizing and clear form labelling and error messages.
What we’ve done
- Every floor plan diagram carries a written description of the layout, so the information isn’t locked inside an image
- All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Body text is set at a minimum of 17 pixels and resizes without breaking the layout
- Form errors are announced in text next to the field, never signalled by colour alone
- Touch targets are at least 48 by 48 pixels
Ongoing work
Accessibility isn’t a launch checkbox. Automated checks run on every change we make to this site, and we re-test manually with a keyboard and a screen reader before each release.
Physical accessibility
[Property management to supply.] This section should set out which buildings and homes have accessible routes, entrances and features, what the leasing office can accommodate on a tour, and how to request a reasonable accommodation or modification under fair housing law.
